The actual game folder is here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 You gotta replace those files with the ones in the actual game folder.įor me it downloaded the fallout4.exe here:ĭepot download complete : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_377160\depot_377162"Īnd the game data files here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_377160\depot_377163" If you look carefully in the console once the download completes - it will tell you where it has downloaded the files for the previous versions. When the downloads complete understand it does not place them directly in your game folder for you. Once you have downloaded both Fallout4.exe and the GameData through the Steam Console - make sure you replace the files in your actual game folder - and the game will load like it was never updated! Make sure you never launch the game from Steam directly - only use the Script Extender Launcher, and make sure you set your Update properties to (only when I launch the game) in the game properties in your steam Library (so you don't have to do this again!) The video has outated ID's - the ones I posted here are the ID's for the update that happened 6 months ago. ![]() This is the other command for the other files for the previous version in the steam console: So what the guy does not ALSO tell you - is that AFTER you have reverted your fallout4.exe YOU ALSO have to do the game data which was also changed.
